Kinda Eclectic Scrap Page

This is my favorite scrapbook page that I made for this years Stampin' Up! Convention Display Boards.  The set I used was Kinda Eclectic.  Colors are Island Indigo, Hello Honey and Very Vanilla.

It's fun to take a stamp and use it "out of the box"....check out the circles on this page.  I stamped the sunburst image then punched it out with different sized circle punches.  Then I cut them to almost give a look of flower petals.  It makes it more acceptable for a page with a photo of my 3 boys, right?

Add a little button in the middle too....fun!

Legacy Scrapbook Page

A few months ago I made THIS page honoring my Grandma and Grandpa.  Now I get to honor my other set of grandparents.  And yes, they are all still alive and both marriages are going strong at over 65 years each!! WOW....amazing, right?!
I love this photo of my Grandma and Grandpa....they are so cute!!  I used Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Basic Black and Very Vanilla.  Of course GOLD, too!  I used the Doily Stamp....yes...I know it's retired, but this grandma makes doilies and I am so blessed to have them all over my house!  She is so talented!! I will be putting this in a frame to hang in my house....although, I'm sure, like the other page I made, my mom will be trying to "borrow" it for her house.  ;)

Hop on over and join us at Stampin' Celebration!!

Seasonally Scattered Scrapbook Page

I wanted to use this particular picture for my scrapbook page, so I matched the colors to it.  I used Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Very Vanilla and accents with Gold Foil paper.  This page measures 8"x8".

I cut out 3 of each sized hearts from the Hearts Framelits.  I folded them in half, and then adhered them together.  Then I fanned them out to create a 3D look.  The stamp set is called Seasonally Scattered.

Amazing Birthday Scrapbook Page

It's time to show off my scrapbook page for the Amazing Birthday stamp set.  I really love the colors!  I drew them all out from the Sweet Taffy DSP that came in my goodie box.  When I was looking through photos these popped out thanks to the slip and slide and all of those bright colors.

Here is a close up of the stamped image. Can you see the stamped banners?  I also used the bottom piece of the title stamp for the polka dot banner.  I threw on some buttons, paper clip and a little punched out star.  There you have it....a cool, bright, fun page.

See.....this one made the SU! Convention Display Board.  It was so much fun seeing people take pics of it, too.  I'm a proud mama!!

I Have A Silly Kid!

It's been a while since I've done anything with MDS for a challenge.  When I saw the sketch for this weeks challenge at Stampin' Celebration....I knew it was perfect!
My littlest dude LOVES to make faces.  He always jumps in front of the camera when I'm trying to take pictures of my cards and such.  Here is one of those photo shoots.

I used the Designer Paper Kit for MDS called Summer Possibilities.  I added a few embellishments and punches with MDS and there you go....

Now it's your turn!  Here is the sketch.  I hope you will join us at Stampin' Celebration

Scrapbook Layouts

I've had a scrapbooking club for the past 4 years and I enjoyed it SO much. I have a three year old now, and as you can imagine I'm a little overwhelmed.  The twins are 9 now....so I decided to take this year off.  BUT....Stampin' Up! just announced that they are partnering with Project Life.  This means I will be back to scrapbooking.....just in a new way.  :)

Sorry for the quality of the photos.  It's nighttime here and indoor photos don't turn out quite as nice in my awful lighting.  On that note, let's move on!!

I just wanted to share with you some of the layouts from this past year.  Here is a Fourth of July page...

Here is a fun Hexagon, Six Sided Sampler page using some of the Epic Day DSP.

Here is a gorgeous Ombre layout.  The page on the RIGHT was inspired by my awesome friend Erica Cerwin.  I came up with the page on the left to compliment the page on the right.

Of course Christmas....what would a scrapbook be without CHristmas?!  I used the Perfect Pennants Die to make the trees.  So cute, huh?!

I will post more later...gotta print up more photos.

Happy Stamping!

Oma and Opa Scrapbook Page

Be inspired this month at Stampin' Celebration!  Here are some beautiful pictures to help you!!

I immediately thought these photos would make a gorgeous scrapbook page.  I'm really loving everything GOLD right now.  I found this awesome picture of my Grandparents taken just a month ago.  Aren't they cute?!  I am truly blessed to have them!!  I can't wait to frame this!!  Soon I will be making one for my other set of grandparents....YES I still have them in my life, too!!  I am one truly blessed granddaughter!!

Here are some close ups of those lovely flowers...see the sanding on the "core-dinations" cardstock?!

Ingredients...
Colors: Baked Brown Sugar, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla
Stamps:  Off The Grid, Fabulous Florets
Accessories: Gold foil paper, core-dinations cardstock, gold sequins, gold embossing powder, pearls, Victoria crochet trim.

Don't recognize the leaves as a die cut?  Well....it's actually a stamp image on MDS from the Betsy's Blossom stamp set.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to enlarge the image and cut it out.  Cool, huh?!?

Happy Stamping,
Krista

Celebrate Travis in Green

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the possibilities of this sketch at Stampin' Celebration this week!!
You MUST join us!!  Check it out...

I really wanted to do a card, but I've been scrolling through my traditional scrapbook and realized it doesn't have a page honoring Travis's 3rd Birthday.  So I went digital.
Here it is....

We had a golf themed Birthday party for him.  He is definitely a sporty kid.  Here are some other pics from the special day...

Happy Stamping....or should I say Digitizing?!

Ch Ch Ch Chip and Dale

Having boys is so much fun...especially when they are twins!!  They are built in best buddies, but as the story goes....they also encourage each other to be silly!!  We spent an afternoon at Disneyland not too long ago and we came upon this little statue of Chip and Dale.  They happened to be our favorite characters at the Disney Resort, Aulani, in Hawaii.  My boys liked that they were cool and funny brothers.
These are some fun photos of them pretending they are Chip and Dale...and also being silly with the statues, too.  Yes, these are my boys!  And, I'm sure I was encouraging all of this craziness, too, because that's how I roll! LOL

I made this whole, SUPER SIMPLE page with the My Digital Studio program!  It only took me a whopping 15 minutes for the whole page.  The hardest thing was deciding the colors and the photos I wanted to use.  The rest was easy because the program is so user friendly!!

The inspiration for this page came from the mid-month inspiration sketch over at Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge blog.  This is the Sketch:

Celebrate and Be Inspired!!

I have a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT....I have been selected to be a Design Team Member for the next 6 months at Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge blog!!  WOOT!  The news came at the end of a crummy day and boy this made all the crumminess go away!  I am so excited to be creating alongside some pretty FABULOUS Stampers!!  So....that being said....you MUST join me this month at SCIC and be inspired!!

Here are the inspiration photos:

My FIRST project is a card.  I drew out the antique frame, the green wrought iron swirl
and the roses and came up with this:

This is a close up of the roses.  Do you see the glittery centers of the roses?  I added some Dazzling Diamonds to make them pop.  Kinda looks like a little bit of dew?!  And yes, I know the swirl dies are retired, but I couldn't help myself.  LOL

But since there was so much to be inspired by this month I couldn't stop there.  I came up with this scrapbook page from the cake design.  See...it is okay to add a tiny bow to a boy page.  This is my son when he was just about 4 months old.  SO cute, right?!

I first punched out 1-3/8" circles from Tangerine Tango cardstock then I punched the 1-3/4" circle around it to make it centered.  For the circles next to the photo, I used the negative space and then glued the 1-3/8" circle inside it.  Kind of a cool effect.  I embossed the word and arrow stamp with silver embossing powder and added the vanilla seam binding bow and there you have it.  Simple, clean but inspired!!

Card Ingredients:
Colors: Pool Party, Whisper White, Smoky Slate and Gumball Green
Stamps: Six Sided Sampler
Accessories: Tulip Border Embossing Folder, 1 3/4" and 1 3/8" Circle punches,
Dazzling Details, Swirls Sizzlit, Stampin' Sponges

8x8" Page:
Colors: Calypso Coral and Very Vanilla
Stamps: Hello, Lovely
Accessories: Vanilla Seam Binding, Silver Embossing Powder, Silver Marker,
1 3/4" and 1 3/8" Circle punches

Again, thank you to the DT for including me in this creative journey at Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge Blog....it's gonna be awesome.

Celebrating Yellow and Gray

It's been a super fun June so far!!  The kids are out of school and we've hit the beach a number of times, Disneyland, the park, had friends over and much more!  We have to pack an entire summer in 6 short weeks.  We are on year around school here since our schools are so crowded.  That means we start the next school year on July 8th.  Then we'll have 3 months on and then one month off for the rest of the year.  It's actually pretty cool!

I get to stamp less often these days, a lot of it was my choice.  My kids are growing up so fast and I don't want to miss ANYTHING!!  I do, however, still have my scrapbook club.  These are the pages we just recently made and I absolutely LOVE THEM!!  I didn't have any photos printed yet, but I will be taking some soon.  I think black and white prints will look great.

Did you see that FAB paper bow on the page above?  It was a bow that I saw on my friend Elizabeth's blog.  Click here to see her amazing work!!  I actually saw the bow on Pinterest and clicked on it only to find out it was made by someone I know!  Cool!!

The layouts fit 4" x 6" photos with a perfect frame. No need to crop!  YAY!

Love the color combo, too!  Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray, Sahara Sand and Vanilla.

It's funny how things inspire you.  Check out the challenge blog called Stampin' Celebration.  They have a fantastic challenge this month!  Here are the photos to inspire you to create something beautiful.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thankful Fall Layout

Although our fall season came late here in Southern California, making projects like the one I made this week really helps me get in the mood for Thanksgiving and the cooler weather.  That is DEFINITELY what I'm thankful for....cooler weather.  It was SO hot this year for so long, it's nice to be in the 60's during the day!!  Still mostly sunny, but it's a lot nicer!
Enough about the weather, let's be thankful!!

Page one has a cute little safety pin with 2 tiny tags hanging from it.  I can't wait to fill this page up with photos from this years Thanksgiving!!  I also embossed all the solid color leaves using a variety of patterns.

I stamped the background of both pages with the leaves from the Gently Falling Stamp Set. I went back and added photos on this page to enter it into a weekly challenge.  Makes it look even cuter!!

Thank you to Erica Cerwin for inspiring me to pair the button with some of our lovely tulle (Pictured below). She's so good with the details.  Check out her blog Pink Buckaroo Designs!

Here are those 2 cute little tags.  Love!! Can you see the embossing on the leaves, too?!

Oh yes, I will be entering this at the Friday Mashup Challenge.  Check out their fabulous projects by clicking here.

Happy Stamping,
Krista

Naked BOO Pages

I know, it's a catchy title, but my pages are missing something.....the photos of my 3 spooky kids in their costumes.  Well, duh, Halloween isn't here yet.  Guess what?  I work ahead of schedule.  Hee hee....sometimes.  But I cheat, I host a monthly scrap booking class so that way I'll work ahead.

Anyways, I've been inspired by the banner I made a couple weeks back.  Click here to see it.  That's how I came up with the colors and theme of these pages.
I like to keep things simple, where you'll still notice the photos.  I didn't want to go overboard....if you know me, you'll know that I like simple, clean lines!!

Here is a closer shot of the left page:

Here is a closer shot of the right page:

I do like little splashes of interest.  Here is my favorite....the little mummy is on 2 layers of the Window Framelits and the Tangerine layer I paper pierced.  Then I added tiny banners and a Basic Gray button with some taffeta ribbon.  Cute, right?!

I hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween this year!  We got invited to our first family Halloween/trick or treating party and I am SOOO excited.....maybe even more than my kids.  :)

Happy Stamping,
Krista
