Celebrate Gold

I am in the middle of creating projects for my next class.  We are going to make cards using new products.  I needed some inspiration and found a really cool sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  Here is what I came up with....

Here is a close up of the details.

I used the Vellum with Gold accents, I used the gold foil paper and embossed it with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.  I cut out the shapes using the Starburst Framelits.  The stamp is from the Starburst Saying stamp set and I heat embossed that with Gold Embossing powder.  I finished it all off with some white bakers twine and Gold Sequins.

Check out the other fun designs at Freshly Made Sketches.

Oh, Happy Day

It's Sketch time at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  This is challenge #180.
Here it is...

I have been wanting to use the Starburst Sayings stamp set with the coordinating Framelits. This sketch was perfect with the different sizes of images.

Here is my card....

I used the Sweet Sorbet DSP from the Sale-a-bration FREE items as my color palette. Can you see a little bit of it?  It's the medium size starburst in the top left.  Then I added some of the awesome FREE Pool Party bakers twine and the arrows Embossing Folder for the background. I HAD to add some bling with the rhinestones too!!
I really like the way this turned out!

Rainbow Hearts

I LOVE Valentine's Day....I know, I say it all the time, but hearts are so cute and isn't it fun to tell someone you love them?!  This month at Stampin' Celebration we are challenging you with some bright, fun, heart-filled inspiration photos to get your creative juices flowing.

For this card I used the small heart punch and A LOT of patience to line them all up.  I used Melon Mambo, Strawberry Slush, Calypso Coral, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Pistachio Pudding, Soft Sky, Coastal Cabana and last, but not least, Island Indigo.
I didn't know what to do with the backdrop so I double inked up the lines stamp from Gorgeous Grunge and made the rainbow to add more color.  By double inked I mean that 1/2 of the stamp I inked in one color and the other 1/2 I inked the next color down.  I hope that makes sense.  The greeting is from Yipee-Skipee Stamp Set, punched out with the Curly Label punch.

You must join in the fun!  Hop on over there and be crafty!!

Happy Stamping,
Krista
