Thanks So Much

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments we are challenging you to use our sketch.  It's super accommodating and there are so many fun ways to interpret this sketch.  Get on over there and join us!!

A close up of the detail.  I used the "Oh Hello" stamp set and the colors are ALL NEW!!  Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana and Baked Brown Sugar.  All put together on some Very Vanilla.  I did cheat and use the color spritzer tool one last time with a Soft Suede Marker.  I will miss that thing!!

Here is the sketch....a little different than my card, but I love being able to take something and change it up a bit.  The beauty of inspiration and creativity!  Join us at HSS!!

Wonderful Mother

This week is another challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  The colors are:

Bashful Blue (retiring)

Real Red

Summer Starfruit 

and Basic Black

The colors are a very unique color combination. It's always fun to try something new!

I really like the way this turned out.  My style...simple and sweet!!

I changed the camera settings, lighting and background of my card and got this shot of it.  I didn't like it because the Bashful Blue dress looks more like Pool Party.  I need to go back to a refresher photography class!!  I do like the way this photo showed the dimension and details better, though.

Baby, A New Jensen

This weekend we celebrated my sister in law and her baby boy due this June. I made her a special card using one of my very FAVORITE colors.....Bashful Blue! I am SO TERRIBLY sad to see it go. A true baby boy color. Oh well.....sigh!

Happy "I Do" Day

I'm going to a wedding this weekend for a sweet friend of mine and I wanted to make her and her new hubby a special card.  I found some inspiration over at Stampin' Celebration.  So, not only did I make a card for the big event, I also am entering it into a challenge.

Butterfly Swirls

Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge this week is to use Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo and Daffodil Delight.  I threw in some Crumb Cake and this is what I came up with...

Can you see the shimmer paint?  You can see it better at this angle....

I made this card similar to my previous post to include it in my class that I host for my church group.  Sometimes it's fun to do something simple with a little touch of sparkle and this card has it.

I used the stamp set called Flowering Flourishes and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit.

Easter Wishes

Here is what I came up with....

Close up shot...first I embossed the flower with white embossing powder on Tangerine Tango cardstock, then I used the Tangerine marker and added some more color.

Spring Butterflies in Pink

I had a few spare minutes this weekend between all of the celebrating for the twins' 8th Birthday activities.  So, I decided to enter a couple of challenges over at Dynamic Duos and Friday Mashup.

Here is my card....simple and sweet, using the butterfly embosslit, the flower flourish stamp set, a button, some pearls and topped it off with a few splashes of vanilla shimmer spritz.  Can you see it? 

Here are the logos, sketches and color palettes for this challenge.  I did, however fail to read the fine line and I didn't use my brayer.  :(  Sorry for that!  But, it was fun to get involved this week!
