Kinda Eclectic Scrap Page

This is my favorite scrapbook page that I made for this years Stampin' Up! Convention Display Boards.  The set I used was Kinda Eclectic.  Colors are Island Indigo, Hello Honey and Very Vanilla.

It's fun to take a stamp and use it "out of the box"....check out the circles on this page.  I stamped the sunburst image then punched it out with different sized circle punches.  Then I cut them to almost give a look of flower petals.  It makes it more acceptable for a page with a photo of my 3 boys, right?

Add a little button in the middle too....fun!

By The Tide Blendabilities

Color Challenge time at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  This Saturday I'm doing a little demo table for a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator meeting.  I'm showing how to use Blendabilities.  Fun!
I thought I'd make my card this week for HSS to use as a display for that event too.

I used the Night of Navy color pack of Blendabilities on the fish.  I added some little banners and 2 strips of Hello Honey Ribbon.  I embossed the background with the large polka embossing folder and done!  Easy masculine card!

Queen Mary Vintage Birthday

It's time for a color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I wanted to go with a non-Christmas card with these colors.  When I was scanning through my stamps this one struck me as the one!  It's called "Traveler".  It looks like the Queen Mary that's docked out here in Long Beach, California.  It's a major tourist attraction.  The little pop of Cherry Cobbler was a perfect fit.

Hop on over there to Hand Stamped Sentiments and join us for the fun!!

Amazing Birthday Surprise Card

It's time for another Amazing Birthday Project. This one was on the display board at the Stampin' Up! Convention.  I really love the way it turned out!  Like little clock cogs...right?!

I used the Starburst framelits, the chevron embossing folder, a silver button, Vintage faceted button, a rhinestone, silver ribbon and the DSP is Back to Black.

Here is a close up shot...

Vintage Traveler Train

I bought a few new sets from the catalog and this is a stamp from one of them.  The set is called "Traveler".  It's a nice vintage set that I will use to make some masculine cards.  Can't have enough of those, right?  You never do.

I also used the new DSP called Typeset for the background and the little strips under the greeting banner.  Topped off the card with a Vintage button and a little black button.  There you have it!

I have been wanting to make a masculine card using the Open Sea stamp set again, and I saw this sketch as my chance.  Here is what I came up with....

Masculine Birthday Card?!

I like to come up with masculine cards every chance I get....and the colors this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments had "manly" written all over it!  YAY...here we go....what do you think?

My hubby always gives me the "nice" or "sure" remark, but I like it!!  Easy, clean lines and very "dude-ish".  I used the Six Sided Sampler and Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp sets.  Added a chevron embossing to the background, a couple banners with the colors from the challenge (I did substitute Crushed Curry for Summer Starfruit) and added a simple button, some twine with a Birthday greeting banner.

I Love My Man!!

Join us this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments as we bring you some masculine energy.  Let's make some manly stuff for the men in our lives.

I had some wood blocks that I had used for a project a couple years back and this one was calling my name when we decided to do a man project.  What's more manly than using a hammer and nails for a project?!  :)
I made pennants on the nails and hammered them into the 2x4.  Then I wrapped the Navy Striped Ribbon around it (gonna miss this!!) then I added all the rest of the elements.

Here is a different angle to see the pennants and the nails.

Here is a closer view of the nails.

Here is a close up of the new stamp set called Itty Bitty Banners.
I can't wait to get the matching framelits for it.....I had a hard time making a straight cut.  :)

Ingredients:

Stamps:  Itty Bitty Banners, Family Reunion, Friendly Phrases and Little Letters (retired)
Colors:  Night of Navy, Wild Wasabi, Tempting Turquiose, Whisper White
Accessories: 1/2", 3/4" Circle punches, Labels Framelits, Clip, Pewter Brads, Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Nails, 2" x4" Wood Block

Happy Stamping and Hammering!  :)

PP Challenge #83

I had to get into this one....it's a card I JUST made for my last class....it fit perfect for the challenge at Paper Players.
Here is my entry...Clean, Simple, Masculine.

I hope I don't get disqualified since it's a project I made just last week.  I'm just being honest.  *blushing*  :)
My hubby approved of this card and he said it reminded him of the movie The Karate Kid....the original....because of the bonsai tree.  He's so funny, but I'm glad I got the man's approval.  :)

Ingredients:

Colors:  Night of Navy, Early Espresso, Bravo Burgundy, More Mustard, Always Artichoke, Naturals Ivory
Stamps:  Teeny Tiny Wishes, Plant Hope
Accessories:  2 1/2" Circle Punch, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Vintage Trinket (button brad)

Happy Stamping,
