Happy Halloween Ghost

Super cute, simple Halloween card with just enough spooky!

Ingredients:
Stamps: And Many More, Holiday Invitation
Framelits:  Fun Fall, Word Bubble
Other: Lucky Stars Embossing Folder, Black Baker's Twine, White Pigment ink, Black marker

I took a sponge dauber to add some white ink to the stars to help them pop and give it a foggy look.

Happy Stamping,
Krista

Halloween Hello Part 2

It's mid-October...I know, where did the time go?  Anyways, it's time to get you inspired again over at Stampin' Celebration.  This time it's a sketch.

Here is my version....I used the Halloween Hello Stamp Set.  The colors I used are Gumball Green, Basic Black and Whisper White.  Creepy, right?!

Did you notice all of those fun elements?  I used a glitter brad, a white button, a mini Silver brad, the silver foil paper and a dahlia.

Now follow along on the hop and don't miss out on the other cute ideas!!

Halloween Hello

Here is my spooky version....a little treat carton with a flying witch.  She's in the moonlight.  I know the coloring is bad on this photo...but makes it even more spooky, right?!

Hop on over to Hand Stamped Sentiments and get stamping!!

Naked BOO Pages

I know, it's a catchy title, but my pages are missing something.....the photos of my 3 spooky kids in their costumes.  Well, duh, Halloween isn't here yet.  Guess what?  I work ahead of schedule.  Hee hee....sometimes.  But I cheat, I host a monthly scrap booking class so that way I'll work ahead.

Anyways, I've been inspired by the banner I made a couple weeks back.  Click here to see it.  That's how I came up with the colors and theme of these pages.
I like to keep things simple, where you'll still notice the photos.  I didn't want to go overboard....if you know me, you'll know that I like simple, clean lines!!

Here is a closer shot of the left page:

Here is a closer shot of the right page:

I do like little splashes of interest.  Here is my favorite....the little mummy is on 2 layers of the Window Framelits and the Tangerine layer I paper pierced.  Then I added tiny banners and a Basic Gray button with some taffeta ribbon.  Cute, right?!

I hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween this year!  We got invited to our first family Halloween/trick or treating party and I am SOOO excited.....maybe even more than my kids.  :)

Happy Stamping,
Krista

Pumpkin and Corn

Hop on over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog this week and be pumpkin challenged!!  You must see the other DT's projects....so stinkin' cute!!

Mine is simple, and so fun!  I used the new Ghoulish Kit from the holiday catalog.  I stamped the pumpkin with the Got Treats set and added a little spritz of sparkle.  Kinda hard to see in this photo.
I made a banner with the new DSP and some glimmer paper.
Last, but not least, I filled the bag with some "corn" as my 22month old son would say.  He loves that stuff.  I know, I'm a bad mom, I let my kid eat candy.  Not a lot, just enough to make him happy.

Happy Stamping!!

HSS #138

You must check out the challenge this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  Every week the Design Team amazes me, but this week they totally knocked my socks off!!   This color combo is AWESOME!!

I wanted to use the new Scalloped Tulle Ribbon....it comes in Espresso.  Then I saw my Toxic Treats stamp set sitting out.  Next I found my Fancy Favor die cut....and here is how it came together.

I would venture to say it's a frilly favor for a Halloween party?!  I added some splotches of Espresso on the box with my Early Espresso marker and my color spritzer tool.  I stamped the greeting in the Island Indigo for a splash of color....then spritzed that, too.  I think it came out okay. Pretty easy to make a few dozen of these for a party, I think.

Have a great week friends!  Happy Stamping!

Spooky Technique

It's time for another new technique.  It's called Crayon Rubbed Embossing.  Very interesting, but really cool results.  You HAVE to check out the coolest projects by the other DT members at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I'm totally in love with this look!!  My use of the technique is displayed in the background.

Can you tell which embossing folder I used?  You can't?  Kinda spooky isn't it?!  :P  I used the stripes embossing folder....rubbed a white crayon on the cardstock while it was laying on the open embossing folder....then I ran the brayer over it after I inked it up with Lucky Limeade.
Super cool technique for a Halloween card for sure!!  It would also look cool on a vintage card!
Join us this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments!!

I also entered this card over at Dynamic Duos this week!

Stamp Sets- Googly Ghouls, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Accessories- Brayer, Stripes Embossing Folder, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Black Taffeta Ribbon, Paper Piercing Pack, Piercing tool
Non SU- White Crayon

Happy Stamping!!

BOO!!

Oh how I miss this Alphabet Die cut.  I just bought it before it retired!!  Oh well, it sure made a cute banner, right?!  This week's challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments was to use and alphabet in your project.  Hop on over there and check out the awesome projects the other DT members made!!

I use the new set called Googly Ghouls on this banner.  I also used the Silver Glimmer paper and the Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP.

Here is a close up of the letter....I wish I would have embossed this with the Chevron Embossing Folder.  I'll do it on the next one I make.  :)  Lovin' those googlie eyes, too!!

I used black taffeta ribbon to connect each part of the banner.  Cute little guy, right?!  LOL!

By the way, this is going to be the class project that I am hosting on September 30th.  Wanna come?

Happy Stamping!
