Simple Fall Fest Card

I like to make simple cards in my classes....something anyone can duplicate and make dozens of.  This is one of those cards...

I used the Fall Fest stamp set and coordinating Fun Fall Framelits. The background is Hardwood stamped onto Soft Suede.  I layered up some Color Me Autumn Washi Tape then added a banner with a greeting.  Finished it off with a Gold Button and some Linen Thread.

Super easy!

Eggplant and Gold

It's time to be inspired by Stampin' Celebration!  Join us this week!!
I made this simple card with a paper flower using scallop circle punches.  Spritz the scallop circle punched paper and crumble up.  Uncrumble them and lay out to dry.  Once dry layer them and adhere them together.  Fluff up and there you go!

Here are the GORGEOUS inspiration photos....

Canvas Mounted Scrapbook Page, Kinda Eclectic

You know those projects you make that you just fall in love with?  Well this is one of them for me.  The bright colors, the bits of sparkle and my cute family all mounted on to an 8"x10" canvas.
Love it!

I used the Sweet Taffy DSP with Daffodil Delight cardstock for the base.  I stamped the starburst image on the Daffodil Delight cardstock with Versamark and then embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I made a Melon Mambo spiral flower.  Stamped more of the Kinda Eclectic images and cut them out.  On the flower I attached strands of ribbon, sequins and bakers twine.  Pearls on the butterfly too. I added the tiny punched flowers with pearls and there you have it.

Mounting the page onto the canvas:
BEFORE you add ANY embellishments, use mod podge all over the canvas in a thin layer.  Softly press the base of the page onto the canvas.  Curl and press the edges on too.  Turn the canvas over and flatten and press with your hands to smooth out the page base cardstock.

After it's all dried, then go back and add the embellishments.

Happy Stamping!

Legacy Scrapbook Page

A few months ago I made THIS page honoring my Grandma and Grandpa.  Now I get to honor my other set of grandparents.  And yes, they are all still alive and both marriages are going strong at over 65 years each!! WOW....amazing, right?!
I love this photo of my Grandma and Grandpa....they are so cute!!  I used Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Basic Black and Very Vanilla.  Of course GOLD, too!  I used the Doily Stamp....yes...I know it's retired, but this grandma makes doilies and I am so blessed to have them all over my house!  She is so talented!! I will be putting this in a frame to hang in my house....although, I'm sure, like the other page I made, my mom will be trying to "borrow" it for her house.  ;)

Hop on over and join us at Stampin' Celebration!!

Kinda Eclectic Vintage Style

I've said it before and I'll say it again....Kinda Eclectic is very versatile.  Take this card, for instance, I gave it a real vintage look.

I used Hello Honey and Daffodil Delight for the yellow tones.  I stamped the leaves with a fully inked stamped, then stamped it off onto another paper then stamped the image again onto the Very Vanilla cardstock.  I did that with both colors to give it the faded look.  I stamped the greeting in Basic Gray, and added some Hello Honey ribbon.
I added some Basic Gray cardstock for layering, some banners, gold sequins, 2 other stamped images in the background and there you have it!

Seasonally Scattered Scrapbook Page

I wanted to use this particular picture for my scrapbook page, so I matched the colors to it.  I used Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Very Vanilla and accents with Gold Foil paper.  This page measures 8"x8".

I cut out 3 of each sized hearts from the Hearts Framelits.  I folded them in half, and then adhered them together.  Then I fanned them out to create a 3D look.  The stamp set is called Seasonally Scattered.

Lullaby DSP and Amazing Birthday

There is GOLD and SPARKLE on this card, I promise!!
I used Gold Foil Paper for 2 of the banners and then sequin stars and circles.  Can you find them?

This card made the Display Board at the Stampin' Up! Convention, too.  It's a great card to make if you like sparkle and layers.

The DSP is Lullaby.  The colors are Hello Honey, Crisp Canteloupe and Baked Brown Sugar and Gold of course.

Amazing Birthday So Thankful

Have you ever seen a stamp set and wondered....what in the world can you do with THAT stamp?  Well, friends, this little thankful banner stamp from Amazing Birthday set was that one!
I wanted to use the NEW in colors and came up with this card...

A close up on the little medallion reveals the details.  Here's how I made it:
I punched out a 1-1/4" circle and snipped the edge to give it a look like petals.  Then I fluffed them up.
The little gold twisty ribbons are pulled from the gold Bakers Twine.  Thanks to Shelli Gardner the SU! CEO for giving me that tip!  :)  I finished it off with a Mossy Meadow ribbon tail.
Layering up a bunch of different colored banners and one stamped on on the bottom layer and the greeting banner and you're done!

I really really loved this card and was SO glad to see it on the Display Board at the SU! Convention.  Make sure you follow all of this years Display Stampers on Pinterest. Click HERE for the pin board

Display Board Amazing Birthday Bag

I am so excited...so, SO excited to share with you all of the projects I made for the Stampin' Up! Display Boards at the Convention this year. The first project I am going to share is an altered gift bag.

I used the Amazing Birthday stamp set and the colors are Blackberry Bliss, Very Vanilla and of course, lots of gold.  I measured the front of the bag and cut the cardstock to fit.  I stamped and cut the banners then added a strip of Blackberry ribbon and tucked it behind the cardstock.  I adhered the cardstock to the front of the bag with Tombo Mono Liquid Glue.  I blinged it up with a strip of gold sequins.  The tag is just stamped with Blackberry Bliss on Very Vanilla and I used the tag topper punch for the top of it.  I took the gold bakers twine and tied on some gold sequins, Blackberry stitched satin and vanilla seam binding ribbon.  Easy, easy  project, but looks so beautiful!!

Here's a photo of the whole gang!  I am SO truly honored to be a part of this with these awesome ladies and very talented artists!!

See....it's all for real!  I am still coming off of all of the excitement.  I hope you enjoy all of the goodies we share.  Please make sure you check out all of the gorgeous projects!!

Kinda Eclectic Inspired

I've been working with this set for several weeks now.  I was chosen to be a Display Stamper at the Stampin' Up! Convention this year.  I was a bit scared of it at first since the images are so different.  But I really fell in love with the set after using it.  Here is a card that we made at my last class.  It just so happens to be inspired by the photos for the Stampin' Celebration Challenge Blog.

The colors used are Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon and lots of Gold sparkle with the vellum and the sequins.

Join us at Stampin' Celebration!  Check out some totally AWESOME stuff by the other DT too!!

SU! Display Board Entry

I LOVE being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  10 years and going strong!  I love to exercise the creative side of my brain....it's relaxing, fun and it makes me feel good when people love what I make!

I am entering the contest to be a Display Stamper for Convention 2014...here are my entries...

3D Project #1
A 2"x4" Altered Wood Block.  I made this for my husband 2 years ago for Father's Day.  I get to look at it often and I love the way it turned out, don't you?!  :) I even used a hammer and nails for the flags on the top of the block!  Great gift for the woodworker guy(or gal) in your life!

Some close ups of the details...

3D Project #2
An altered wood frame, turned into a Christmas Countdown Calendar.
I stained the frame with the Soft Suede ink Refill and a Stampin' Sponge.  I really like the effect it gave.
I made DOZENS of these for a Christmas Boutique and SOLD OUT!  They were the hit of the day for sure!!

Card Entry #1
I made this card for a swap at Convention last year.  The little spritz of Silver Glimmer Spray sure added a nice touch to the colorful hexagons....

Card Entry #2
I saw a blog post from the SU! page and made a frame of the framelit with the silver glimmer paper.  Added some Petite Petals and viola....

Card Entry #3
This is a vellum, gold, gold and more gold extravaganza!  I love this bright card....it's got serious energy!

And last, but certainly not least....my
Scrapbook Page Entry
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this page!!  Reason #1 my Grandparents are Awesome!!
Reason #2 there is absolutely no detail spared!! Reason #3 I got to use my new SILHOUETTE CAMEO to make the Gold Foil Paper leaves and stem.  It's from the Betsy's Blossom Set on MDS.  :)

More GOLD accents all over, but not too much.  The CORE-dinations Cardstock is gorgeous with the new Spiral Flower Die....rub it down on the edges a bit and here you have it!!  (So sad to see this go)

After looking over all of my entries, I realized that I like a little bit of sparkle on everything.  From Heat Embossing, sequins, Gold Foil paper to Shimmer Paper...a little bit goes a long way!

I had fun going through my old projects and can't wait to create some new ones with NEW Stampin' Up! products!

Happy Stamping,
Krista Jensen

Oma and Opa Scrapbook Page

Be inspired this month at Stampin' Celebration!  Here are some beautiful pictures to help you!!

I immediately thought these photos would make a gorgeous scrapbook page.  I'm really loving everything GOLD right now.  I found this awesome picture of my Grandparents taken just a month ago.  Aren't they cute?!  I am truly blessed to have them!!  I can't wait to frame this!!  Soon I will be making one for my other set of grandparents....YES I still have them in my life, too!!  I am one truly blessed granddaughter!!

Here are some close ups of those lovely flowers...see the sanding on the "core-dinations" cardstock?!

Ingredients...
Colors: Baked Brown Sugar, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla
Stamps:  Off The Grid, Fabulous Florets
Accessories: Gold foil paper, core-dinations cardstock, gold sequins, gold embossing powder, pearls, Victoria crochet trim.

Don't recognize the leaves as a die cut?  Well....it's actually a stamp image on MDS from the Betsy's Blossom stamp set.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to enlarge the image and cut it out.  Cool, huh?!?

Celebrate Gold

I am in the middle of creating projects for my next class.  We are going to make cards using new products.  I needed some inspiration and found a really cool sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  Here is what I came up with....

Here is a close up of the details.

I used the Vellum with Gold accents, I used the gold foil paper and embossed it with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.  I cut out the shapes using the Starburst Framelits.  The stamp is from the Starburst Saying stamp set and I heat embossed that with Gold Embossing powder.  I finished it all off with some white bakers twine and Gold Sequins.

Check out the other fun designs at Freshly Made Sketches.
