Seasonally Scattered Fall Thanks

Sometimes you just make a card and you fall in love....well this is THAT card!  The colors, the layout, all of it!  I'm happy to share it with you today.
This was on display at the 2014 Stampin' Up! Convention too.  :-)

I used the Seasonally Scattered stamp set and stamped it with Mossy Meadow on Naturals Ivory cardstock.  Then I stamped the same image on a piece of Hello Honey cardstock and cut out the "thanks" letters and glued it to the Mossy Meadow image.  Makes the letters really pop!
The colors are:  Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, and Blackberry Bliss.
Do you see the paper piercing? I also added sponging on the edges to give an antique look.

By The Tide Blendabilities

Color Challenge time at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  This Saturday I'm doing a little demo table for a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator meeting.  I'm showing how to use Blendabilities.  Fun!
I thought I'd make my card this week for HSS to use as a display for that event too.

I used the Night of Navy color pack of Blendabilities on the fish.  I added some little banners and 2 strips of Hello Honey Ribbon.  I embossed the background with the large polka embossing folder and done!  Easy masculine card!

Merry Seasonally Scattered

This was a card I made for the Stampin' Up! Convention Display Board.  Although it didn't make it on the actual board I just wanted to share it with you.  :)

Lots of silver sparkle and white embossed stamp image on Bermuda Bay cardstock. The card front is mounted on Silver Foil Paper with Silver flowers and some rhinestones.  I used the negative image to frame the stamped greeting.  The cut out is a shape from the Apothecary Accents Framelits.

Queen Mary Vintage Birthday

It's time for a color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I wanted to go with a non-Christmas card with these colors.  When I was scanning through my stamps this one struck me as the one!  It's called "Traveler".  It looks like the Queen Mary that's docked out here in Long Beach, California.  It's a major tourist attraction.  The little pop of Cherry Cobbler was a perfect fit.

Hop on over there to Hand Stamped Sentiments and join us for the fun!!

Kinda Eclectic Vintage Style

I've said it before and I'll say it again....Kinda Eclectic is very versatile.  Take this card, for instance, I gave it a real vintage look.

I used Hello Honey and Daffodil Delight for the yellow tones.  I stamped the leaves with a fully inked stamped, then stamped it off onto another paper then stamped the image again onto the Very Vanilla cardstock.  I did that with both colors to give it the faded look.  I stamped the greeting in Basic Gray, and added some Hello Honey ribbon.
I added some Basic Gray cardstock for layering, some banners, gold sequins, 2 other stamped images in the background and there you have it!

HAPPY STAMPING,
KRISTA

Lullaby DSP and Amazing Birthday

There is GOLD and SPARKLE on this card, I promise!!
I used Gold Foil Paper for 2 of the banners and then sequin stars and circles.  Can you find them?

This card made the Display Board at the Stampin' Up! Convention, too.  It's a great card to make if you like sparkle and layers.

The DSP is Lullaby.  The colors are Hello Honey, Crisp Canteloupe and Baked Brown Sugar and Gold of course.

Kindess Tag With Kinda Eclectic

I'm so bummed the photo looks so yellow....on my iPhoto program it looks fine.  Sorry!
Anyways....I'm such a vertical/horizontal card maker I pushed myself to go tilted....HA!

I cut a cute little tag with the Tag Topper Punch and stamped the leaf on it.  Added a little sprout of various ribbons, punched some flowers from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and there's the tag!

The butterfly was easy with the stamp and coordinating punch.  I added some pearls and a banner for the greeting. Done!

Amazing Birthday So Thankful

Have you ever seen a stamp set and wondered....what in the world can you do with THAT stamp?  Well, friends, this little thankful banner stamp from Amazing Birthday set was that one!
I wanted to use the NEW in colors and came up with this card...

A close up on the little medallion reveals the details.  Here's how I made it:
I punched out a 1-1/4" circle and snipped the edge to give it a look like petals.  Then I fluffed them up.
The little gold twisty ribbons are pulled from the gold Bakers Twine.  Thanks to Shelli Gardner the SU! CEO for giving me that tip!  :)  I finished it off with a Mossy Meadow ribbon tail.
Layering up a bunch of different colored banners and one stamped on on the bottom layer and the greeting banner and you're done!

I really really loved this card and was SO glad to see it on the Display Board at the SU! Convention.  Make sure you follow all of this years Display Stampers on Pinterest. Click HERE for the pin board

Rainbow Amazing Birthday

When I saw this stamp set for the first time, my eyes were drawn to this particular stamp in the Amazing Birthday stamp set.  I immediately thought, rainbow!  Then I got my box of goodies from SU! and the Sweet Taffy DSP was in there.  Ah ha!  Bright rainbow colors!  So, I painted markers on the stamp and put it all together with the DSP background.  Cute, colorful, EASY and fun!

Ingredients:
Stamps: Amazing Birthday
Colors: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo
Accessories: Pumpkin Pie chevron ribbon, Melon Mambo taffeta ribbon, rhinestones, Chevron Border punch (I cut it down a bit), Apothecary Accents framelit.

This is a GREAT card to make in a class.  It's so easy, but it showcases a bunch of different products.

Happy Birthday Cutie

I'm trying to be better about blogging all that I make.  I have SO many things I haven't showed you in the past, but it's about time I share all the fun I have.  :)  This card is for my friend that ordered cards for her daughters to give to their friends.  Her daughters dance, so I thought this image from the "Sweet Stuff" stamp set was perfect.

For the background I used the Sweet Taffy DSP.  The colors on the card are Smoky Slate, Melon Mambo and Whisper White.  I added some rhinestones for the bling and there you have it!

Tap Tap Tap Typing Away

It's time for a sketch at Stampin' Celebration!  I wanted to showcase some NEW stuff and here it is...
Below is featuring a new photopolymer set called What's Your Type?. Do you see it?  The word is RAD!!  Cool, huh?!  The tiny letters are from a rotary stamp called "Alphabet Rotary"....it's HUGE and oh the possibilities!

The colors are Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Early Espresso and a smidge of Rich Razzleberry.  Don't you think the little sequins look like old 45's (aka Records)?

BUT....I FIRST made this card....

It's from a set called TAP TAP TAP.  I won all of these sets at the Stampin' Up! Catalog Reveal Event in Long Beach, CA.  It was so much fun!

After I made this card, I was just like ehhhh....my coloring on the typewriter wasn't my fave, so I made
THIS CARD....

Do you see the NEW DSP?  It's the bottom part of the card.  It's called Back to Black and will be available for purchase on June 2nd.  I LOVE it!!

Petite Petals, Sweet Essentials Stack

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments it's a color challenge.  We want you to use Tangerine Tango, Coastal Cabana and Baked Brown Sugar.
A friend asked me for some Thank You Notes for her friend that was recently widowed.  I thought this was a wonderful color combo so I made a stack of 12 cards....here is what I came up with...

I used the Petite Petals Stamp set and coordinating punch.  I bet you can't guess what my favorite stamp set is right now?!  Hahaha!
I also used the Sweet Essentials stamp set for the greeting.  The background is with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.

Look at this next photo and I mixed it up a bit and changed out a couple of colors on the flowers....do you see it?

HSS Sketch #184

It's a sketch challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I must admit I struggled a bit, but I am happy with the way my card turned out.

Here is a close up shot.  Do you see the silver paper peeking out?  I put a strip of it behind the hexagon punches and a Modern Window Punch behind the greeting.  It added a little touch of shine.
