HSS #134

This week's challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is COLOR!!

This weekend we celebrated my cousin Alyssa's 21st Birthday and her dad's 50 (see other post here).  So I decided to combine her Birthday card with this week's color challenge.  I saw on her Pinterest page that she liked the paper rosettes so I made her some for her card.

Here is the challenge photo and the details.....JOIN US!!  :)

I actually made another card first....with the Delicate Doily in Not Quite Navy and the swirl stamp from Everything Eleanor is different.  I felt like it was a bit much for the look I was going for.....my hubby liked this one better, though.  So, I ended up giving Alyssa this card instead.

Here are some close up pics of the rosettes.  I took a 1-3/8" Punched circle out of Daffodil Delight then I cut it from the outside in...into a spiral.  Then I rolled it all the way from the outside in and hot glued it all to the center.  Added a pearl and done!!  :)

For the party this weekend they asked us to dress in either the 60's or the 90's since that's the decades the Birthday peeps were born.....here is my SUPER RAD 90's FLASHBACK FAMILY PHOTO!!  The hubby was from 90210 (the old version), I was the homeschool mom (my aunt called me that all night), the twins are the super cool Zach Morris's from Saved By the Bell and the baby....was just cute with his boom box shirt and rolled up sleeves.

Happy Stamping!!

SOOO cute, the card AND the '90s look! Myself, I was a knee length jumper with mock turtleneck and super dark tights kind of girl, with the gator hair clips that I still use. Hahaa! Your card is just so darn good, too, I think my favorite part is the white flourish against the turquoise. Now, off to listen to the Spice Girls...
