Happy "I Do" Day

I'm going to a wedding this weekend for a sweet friend of mine and I wanted to make her and her new hubby a special card.  I found some inspiration over at Stampin' Celebration.  So, not only did I make a card for the big event, I also am entering it into a challenge.

Butterfly Swirls

Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge this week is to use Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo and Daffodil Delight.  I threw in some Crumb Cake and this is what I came up with...

Can you see the shimmer paint?  You can see it better at this angle....

I made this card similar to my previous post to include it in my class that I host for my church group.  Sometimes it's fun to do something simple with a little touch of sparkle and this card has it.

I used the stamp set called Flowering Flourishes and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit.

Easter Wishes

Close up shot...first I embossed the flower with white embossing powder on Tangerine Tango cardstock, then I used the Tangerine marker and added some more color.

Spring Butterflies in Pink

I had a few spare minutes this weekend between all of the celebrating for the twins' 8th Birthday activities.  So, I decided to enter a couple of challenges over at Dynamic Duos and Friday Mashup.

Here is my card....simple and sweet, using the butterfly embosslit, the flower flourish stamp set, a button, some pearls and topped it off with a few splashes of vanilla shimmer spritz.  Can you see it? 

Here are the logos, sketches and color palettes for this challenge.  I did, however fail to read the fine line and I didn't use my brayer.  :(  Sorry for that!  But, it was fun to get involved this week!

Gift Set

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments we are doing a color challenge.  I love these bright colors....so many possibilities.  I decided to make an altered notepad and pen set. 

This is the inside....I used a Staples brand notepad that measures 8" x 5" and added a strip of DSP to cover the label.

Here is a closeup of the paper flower.  I used both the large and small scallop circle.  I wet them, crunched them up then layered them up and got this look: 

Instructions on making the notepad/pen set:

Score an 8" x 12" sheet of cardstock at 5", 5 1/4", and 11".

Fold in the 11" score line and adhere down.

Crease the other 2 scores and this should be the perfect size for the notepad.

I made a 1" loop for the pen and adhered it to the NOTEPAD then glued the NOTEPAD down into the folded cardstock cover.

Decorate it all up as you like....easy gift set!!

Vintage Ferris Wheel Sketch

I'm BAAAAACK!!   I took a few weeks off to go to Hawaii!! It was so beautiful and so much fun!!

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments we are challenging you to be inspired by a sketch created by one of the

fabulous DT members!!  Here is my card:

I used the Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set from the Saleabration catalog.  I think it's such a great set....a must have for sure!! 

Here is a close up of the detail.  The embossing, the glitter paper, the stamped background (Clockworks). the paper piercing, the ribbon, the sponged edges.  :)

We stayed at the most amazing place....Aulani by Disney!  OH MY GOSH....so awesome!!  We met Mickey, they have their own lagoon and the pool, WOW, fun fun fun!!
