Banner For A Beautiful Baby

This weeks challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is using a banner in your project.

My friend Karen and her family welcomed the cutest baby girl into their family this week. She is so adorable and such a huge blessing! I wanted to make her a super special card, so I thought, why not make her a 6" x6" card so she can add it to a brag book album. This is actually a card, but I'll make sure she knows that I'll be converting it into an album for her...soon. :) You know....when I get free time. ;)

Don't you love the Pretty in Pink with the Basic Gray combo? I thought it was nice, and a little different than my "go to" pink and brown combo. Here, are a couple close-up photos of the details....

Do you notice the sparkle? I used our Shimmer Paint in Frost White. It just needed some sparkle to it. I usually use the Rhinestones, but I decided to try something different. I used a foam brush to paint some of the Shimmer on the stamp. That way I was able to evenly distribute it and make it so it's not so clumpy. I think it added a nice touch.....

Ingredients:
Colors: Pretty In Pink, Basic Gray, Whisper White
Stamps: Pennant Parade, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Punches: Pennants Builder, 3/4" Circle, 1/2" Circle, Decorative Label & Scallop Trim
Accessories: White Bakers Twine, Basic Gray Satin Ribbon, Neutral Button, White Shimmer Paint, Tasteful Trim Die Cut, Texturz Plate-Backgrounds 1, Big Shot

Happy Stamping,
Krista

What a great idea! She will love it. Love the shimmer paint on top of the letters and the color combo is gorgeous. I wouldn't have thought of that combination. So pretty. Congrats to your friend. We'll have to live vicariously through them, we moms with all boys:)

Hi Krista! It pretty much goes without saying that I adore this pink-tastic creation! So beautiful! I especially love the extra detail you added with the shimmer paint. Thanks for the inspiration to use it more often. Great tip with the foam brush, too. :)

Super cute card for a cute baby! I love all the shimmery details and the color combo is FABULOUS! I'll have to get some of that ribbon. You're card will look great on the baby album.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this and the idea of transforming it to a scrap page- GENIOUS (high pitch voice). BTW, I could probably tie some bows for you with my slim jim sausages ;-) I LOVE the little sentiment on this- the colors, the shape, the shadow, it all has me gittie. :-)

The pink and gray are beautiful together and I like the shimmer paint (makes it a little softer and perfect for a little one)
