Grad Season

I love graduations....the end and a new beginning.  My niece Kristen just graduated from High School and this fall she will be cashing in on her FULL Scholarship to a California University where she will be earning a degree and playing water polo!!  Congrats Kristen!!  I made a special card for her with her High School colors.

Clean and Simple Strikes Again!!

My kids are out of school, so most days I have no idea what day of the week it is.  This time Tuesday just crept up on me....yikes!  But here it is....clean and simple.  That's me lately, just clean the house and keep it simple!

A close up of the detail.  I used the "Oh Hello" stamp set and the colors are ALL NEW!!  Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana and Baked Brown Sugar.  All put together on some Very Vanilla.  I did cheat and use the color spritzer tool one last time with a Soft Suede Marker.  I will miss that thing!!

Here is the sketch....a little different than my card, but I love being able to take something and change it up a bit.  The beauty of inspiration and creativity!  Join us at HSS!!

Wonderful Mother

This week is another challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  The colors are:

Bashful Blue (retiring)

Real Red

Summer Starfruit 

and Basic Black

The colors are a very unique color combination. It's always fun to try something new!

I really like the way this turned out.  My style...simple and sweet!!

I changed the camera settings, lighting and background of my card and got this shot of it.  I didn't like it because the Bashful Blue dress looks more like Pool Party.  I need to go back to a refresher photography class!!  I do like the way this photo showed the dimension and details better, though.

Baby, A New Jensen

This weekend we celebrated my sister in law and her baby boy due this June. I made her a special card using one of my very FAVORITE colors.....Bashful Blue! I am SO TERRIBLY sad to see it go. A true baby boy color. Oh well.....sigh!

Happy "I Do" Day

I'm going to a wedding this weekend for a sweet friend of mine and I wanted to make her and her new hubby a special card.  I found some inspiration over at Stampin' Celebration.  So, not only did I make a card for the big event, I also am entering it into a challenge.

Butterfly Swirls

Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge this week is to use Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo and Daffodil Delight.  I threw in some Crumb Cake and this is what I came up with...

Can you see the shimmer paint?  You can see it better at this angle....

I made this card similar to my previous post to include it in my class that I host for my church group.  Sometimes it's fun to do something simple with a little touch of sparkle and this card has it.

I used the stamp set called Flowering Flourishes and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit.
