Boo!

Hi stampers....it's challenge time again. This time at Hand Stamped Sentiments we want you to create your spooky Halloween projects....here are the details:

For my project, I decided to make a banner. It actually happens to be the banner we are making at my next class on October 6th.

Check out the silver glimmer paper behind the letters. And you can also see my spooky spider and the creepy owl....

It's a late night and I need to get to bed. My hubby and I went to dinner and I needed to stay up late and let my heavy dinner digest...another Birthday dinner to celebrate me. :) I'll add the "ingredients" for this project sometime tomorrow. Night night!!

Sneak Peek at Next Class

It's time for the holidays....what better way to kick it off with making some fun crafts to decorate your home. Here is a sneak peek photo of the Halloween Banner you'll be making:

Fall is such a great season....maybe it's because my Birthday happens to fall on it's first day. LOL! :) Anyways, this is just one part of the lovely fall wreath that you will be making at the next class:

You'll also be making a fun treat bag for Halloween....with a tag, too. I hope you can join me.

Happy Stamping,
Krista

Impress Us!! HSS Challenge

Hi Stampers!! It's time to make an impression or show us who's the (em)boss at Hand Stamped Sentiments! Hee hee! Get out your heat tool and/or your embossing folders or plates and get crafty.

This challenge I wanted to showcase both heat and dry embossing. And I wanted to use the new set called Festive & Fun from the Holiday Mini. Check out the different textures on the strips of Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green....I used different embossing folders. But wait........there's more!!!! I also ran the satin ribbon through the Houndstooth Embossing Folder. Can you see it??

If not, here is a close up of the ribbon. You can click on the photo for a larger view. Fun, right?! I saw this done at a SU! Regional Seminar, the demonstrator even embossed paper napkins, fabric, she tried everything. It seemed fun, so I had to try it.

Ingredients
Colors: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso
Stamps: Festive & Fun
Accessories: Stripes, Houndstooth, Square Lattice, Finial Press and Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folders, Big Shot, Espresso Satin Ribbon, Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Zig Painty Marker (gold), Corner Rounder punch

Happy Stamping,
Krista

Card Swap for Demo Meeting

Here is my latest card using the yummy Spice Cake Designer Paper again. The photos DO NOT do these cards justice, though. They are so pretty, I have to say.....now that I'm totally covered in glitter from head to toe. Even on my eyelids.....and on the poor baby, too. Hee hee!

Do you see the glitter? The fabric? The paper flower? The cut out leaves? Boy, I've been busy....I made 31 of these cards. Whew....I'm tired. Nighty, night!! :)

Happy Stamping,
Krista

Fall Challenge at HSS

It's almost the first day of fall. You know how I know that? September 23rd is my Birthday and it happens to be the 1st day of fall. It's a great time of year. :)

This week we are challenging you to create a fall project at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

I wanted to make a card, but my card turned in to a tag, then my tag turned into a tag and bag combo.

I was inspired by the project that I earned for FREE from Stampin' Up for recruiting during the month of July. Here is the box topper:

Here is a close up of my tag....it was inspired by the box topper......

Ingredients:
Colors: Pool Party, More Mustard, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzaz, Very Vanilla

I wish I could say that I am feeling great, but I have strep throat AGAIN! I am so sick of this. I hope the meds they gave me this time will work!! On that note.....here are some cute pictures of my kids.....they keep me going!!

Travis is 9 months old ALREADY!! He smiles ALL THE TIME and loves to make friends...

Luke is my thoughtful, sweet boy!!

Tyler, aka toothless, is my funny guy that still loves to cuddle!!

411 Challenge Entry

I wanted to enter another challenge and I've been loving glitter lately. What better way to share my love of glitter than to post a glittered up flower for ya'll?! :) The challenge is on the blog called Stamping 411. Here is the sketch:

Here is my card entry for this challenge:

Here is a close up shot of the flower:

I punched out 4 large scallop circles, crinkled them up, layered them, then glittered them up all pretty. :) I know....I'm in a totally weird mood tonight. Maybe it's because the twins are on break from year around school....they are making me crazy and it's only been 2 days. Guess I'd better take them out for some fun tomorrow, but it's so HOT. I think I'll take 'em to the indoor bounce house place. They'll love that! Hopefully it'll burn them out. We'll see....

Ingredients:
Colors: More Mustard, Pool Party, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Stamps: Friendly Phrases
Accessories: Spice Cake DSP, Scallop Circle, Small Oval, 3/4" Circle punches, Natural Buttons, Linen Thread, Champagne Glitter, Embossing Folder, Big Shot

Happy Stamping,
Krista
