I know it's been a while since I've posted....I had strep throat....BLECH!! But with a nice dose of antibiotics, I'm back!! This week's challenge at
Hand Stamped Sentiments is called "All Stitched Up"...that means you need to use either sewing, stitching or faux stitching in your project.
I really like being a part of this design team. It's forcing me to learn new techniques and use new products and ideas. So for this one, I decided to bite the bullet and get a sewing machine. I know, you're thinking I had to spend a fortune, but I bought the $13 hand-held one from Walmart. I'm just testing out the sewing thing to see if it's worth it to splurge for a real, big girl one....we'll see. Honestly, it's just one more thing that will end up caking up dust, I'm sure.
Okay....here it is....my card with real, actual, battery powered, needle and thread action, stitched up card.
I know, I know....I didn't get carried away with this, I just wanted it to make a simple statement....like my blog says...."simple". :)
Here is a close up shot of the stitching....looks like I need to brush up on my sewing skills. LOL!!!
This card is for my friend Christie. She has 2 boys and just had her first baby girl. I've only seen a picture of her, but I can't wait to see her in person. Hopefully I'll be able to hand deliver this real soon. Gotta make sure I'm all finished with my antibiotics first. I don't want to spread any germs.
