Pom Reader....

When I blog, I like to do a spin on words for my titles....can you tell?  I think it's funny!  Hee hee!  Anyways, this week we are doing a Pom Pom challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  Think decor, think cheerleading, think fluffy!  :)

Every week this blog continues to challenge me....get out of your comfort zone Krista!!  I had to look up pom pom on Pinterest.  I know, cheating....nah....I just don't do this fluffy stuff often since I have 3 sons!
I made a little flower with the Twitterpated fabric and couldn't decide what to do with it.  Here is the flower....I also put a clear button in the middle.

I added it to a strip of Pink Pirouette cardstock and folded that in half to make a bookmark.  I embossed it, too.

I wanted it to stay nicely in the book so I added magnets to the bottom of the marker so they would clamp together and really save the page.  Make sense?

Here it is marking a page and looking so "fluffy" and "pom pom-y" on the front of my old Twins book.

Happy Stamping!!  I'm "cheering" for you!!

Let's Go Smooch!

Okay, not really, but I must admit that I am really loving the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper.  It's so bright and cheery and it has so many fabulous patterns.  My new favorite pattern is polka dots and this paper does not disappoint!!

This week we are asking you to make a project using the Herringbone Technique.  This is all new to me, but I always love a challenge.  Get's me out of the box!!  Join us at Hand Stamped Sentiments!!  Here are the details....

At first I thought my card was a little too busy, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it.  It's so colorful and busy....just like my life right now!  :)  Plus, the greeting reminds me to have a "happy day" too!!  We made this card at my technique class this past week.  It was definitely a favorite!

Ingredients:

Ink: Pacific Point
Stamp Set: Friendly Phrases
Accessories: Summer Smooches DSP, Apothecary Accents Framelit, Copper Button, Limeade Bakers Twine

Happy Stamping!

In Color....Oh Yes!

I'm learning to love the new In Colors.  This week we are challenged to use them in a project at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  Check out the other lovely projects using the new In Colors.

Here is what I came up with.  There is a lot of white space and just a touch of texture and pop of color with the new Dahlias and the Summer Starfruit striped satin ribbon.  Simple....sweet....you know.....my usual! :)

And now for a close up of those adorable dahlias.  So fun, but not the easiest to mail, I'm sure.  So this will be a hand it to someone card. I used the stamp set called Friendly Phrases.

Here is the challenge info....get on over there and join us!!

While I was outside taking photos of the card for this week....a little cutie came out to join me!  However, the gardener across the street was giving him concern.....check out his face!

He was trying to have fun, but kept getting nervous from the loud leaf blower across the street.

Here's his sweet smile, too bad he's looking down.  You're missing out on those big blue/green eyes.

LOVE THIS KID!!

Happy Stamping,
Krista
